Studs recently described Doug as, "a chronicler of Chicago's dispossessed.  He bears witness in shelters, flophouses, and SRO's, as well as in the streets."

A Friday morning service at the Castle Church in Wittenberg in 2003. This is the church that Martin Luther nailed his 95 objections to the Catholic Church selling indulgences in 1517. Luther is buried in the church.
